I’m Susan Campbell
I believe that everyone deserves unique and elevated home and outdoor decor. But South 23rd’s decor isn’t the only thing outside the ordinary.
After decades of working in sales and raising my family, I had a dream to create Porch Pops, a patent-pending planter cover. It was just like any other day, flipping through a magazine. But then I saw a beautiful home, with boxwoods wrapped in burlap. The result was gorgeous, but not necessarily original. I wondered if I could use different fabrics to reflect and extend the style I had inside my home.
What started as a passion project that connected with my love of decorating became a chance to help other women elevate their homes (and in a super simple way).
I’m honored to have won first place of the Vanity Fair & Leanne Morgan grant contest that supports women entrepreneurs who are just getting started, and starting something new.
My goal is to encourage women to elevate their spaces by making beautiful design accessible. With decor, styling tips, and a little inspiration, I believe you can love the look and feel of your home!
Everything you see here at South 23rd started as an original idea, dreamed up in my own home in North Carolina. But when I’m not dreaming and designing new home decor ideas, you’ll find me exploring this great state, supporting other local businesses, and spending time with my husband and kids.
